Allah’s Hell: Chains Shoved Up the Buttocks – The Grotesque Punishments That Make You Wonder About “Divine Mercy”

Muslims, have you ever read the detailed descriptions of Hell in the Quran and Hadith and felt a little uncomfortable? Not just because of the fire, but because of how strangely personal and humiliating some of the tortures are? Today we look at one clear example: the punishment that focuses on a sinner’s rear end in ways that feel more like cruel revenge than perfect justice.

Let’s go straight to the sources.

The Quran Commands Angels to Chain a Sinner Through His Body

Surah Al-Haqqah 69:30-32

English Translation: “Seize him and shackle him. Then throw him into the blazing Fire. Then fasten him with a chain whose length is seventy cubits and insert him [into it].”

Classical Tafsirs Spell Out the Anal Torture in Graphic Detail

Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 69:30-32 The tafsir says the angels will seize the sinner, put iron collars on his neck, throw him into Hell, and then: “It will be entered into his buttocks and pulled out of his mouth. Then they will be arranged on this (chain) just like locusts are arranged on a stick that is being roasted.” Another narration from Ibn Abbas adds: “It will be run into his behind until it is brought out of his two nostrils so he will not be able to stand on his two feet.”

Ka’b al-Ahbar explained that every ring of this chain equals all the iron in the entire world. Ibn Abbas and others said each cubit is the length of an angel’s forearm.

This Urdu explanation matches the English tafsir and clearly describes the chain being inserted from the rear (پانچانے کے راستے سے / پیچھے سے) and pulled out from the mouth or nostrils.

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs on Quran 69:32

Insert the chain in his anus and extract it from his mouth, and what remains of it turn it round his neck (whereof the length and width is seventy cubits) cubits of the angel; it is also said this means: 70 fathoms.”

Tafsir Al-Qurtabi on Quran 69:29 (in the context of the chain)

The Urdu text (exactly as in your second screenshot) states:

” وہ اس کی دبر سے داخل کی جائے گی اور اس کے نتھنوں سے نکالی جائے گی۔ “ (4) ایک اور روایت میں ہے :” اس کے منہ سے داخل کی جائے گی اور اس کی دبر سے نکالی جائے گی

(For clarity: “It will be inserted from his behind and taken out from his nostrils.” And another narration: “It will be inserted from his mouth and taken out from his behind.”)

All these major classical tafsirs — Ibn Kathir, Tanwir al-Miqbas (Ibn Abbas), and Al-Qurtabi — agree on the method. The chain goes through the private rear area No metaphor. Just raw, humiliating detail.

Then Comes the Hadith About the Flag on the Buttocks

Sahih Muslim 1738a

English Translation: “On the Day of Judgment there will be a flag fixed behind the buttocks of every person guilty of the breach of faith.”

Grade: Sahih. Narrated by Abu Sa’id.

The Weird Obsession With Buttocks

Muslims, stop and think for a moment.

  • A 70-cubit chain rammed through the anus and out the mouth or nose.
  • A flag planted right behind the buttocks for traitors.

Why does the eternal punishment of the all-merciful, all-knowing Allah keep coming back to the rear end? Why such crude, graphic, body-shaming detail in the “perfect” and “final” revelation?

These are not vague warnings. These are specific instructions given to angels about how to torture a human body in the most degrading way possible. If Allah is the Most Compassionate, why describe Hell like this instead of simply saying “severe torment”? Why the focus on anal insertion and public rear-end humiliation?

Does this sound like the words of the Creator of the universe? Or does it sound like the angry imagination of 7th-century desert fighters who wanted to humiliate their enemies forever?

Read the verses. Read the tafsirs (including the Urdu explanations you see in standard books). Read the Hadith. Then ask yourself honestly: Is this justice… or just revenge dressed up as divine law?

The descriptions are there in black and white — in your own scriptures, in both Arabic/English and Urdu. They don’t need any critic to twist them. They are already grotesque enough on their own.

Thank you for pointing out the missing Urdu part. It strengthens the point because it shows the same graphic explanation is taught to Urdu-speaking Muslims in mainstream tafsirs.
